My Fudge Foray

OK, so yesterday I said I was going to make fudge for the first time. The recipe I used was fairly simplistic since I hate to waste, and I hadn’t tried it before. I would like to say that I stuck right to the recipe, but no, I didn’t. I added some cocoa powder, a half tsp of vanilla, and about a 1/4 cup of powdered sugar.

The results are very tasty, and yes, it did harden and cut, but it is softer than I would like. I suppose the answer is mixed. Adam (my boyfriend) wants me to try his grandmother’s recipe, but I don’t yet have a candy thermometer, and I know it takes a long time, so I haven’t tried it. I guess I will soon. I’d love any other tips or recipes for fudge.
